CMP Media Marathon!
Children's Media Project (CMP) has been empowering youth in our region through media arts programming for fourteen years. Now we are reaching out to the community to power our media arts/youth development center. We are asking our students, alumni, friends, and allies if they will participate in this community effort to raise $50,000 in the next two months. Children's Media Project has recently seen an increased need for youth programming in the community. However, decreased funding for these programs has led to a drastic reduction of youth programming available. As this fundraising drive is launched, CMP is working hard to keep our doors open.
We need your help!
Children's Media Project offers a creative atmosphere in a bright three-story firehouse, a beautiful space to learn and make media with our staff of mentors and friends. CMP creates job opportunities for youth, and our programs are focused on workforce development--helping the youth in our region to develop job skills, and life skills too. They learn video-making, radio production, music production, and zine-making. CMP is a place where kids leave the curb and enter an excited realm of opportunity and imagination.
