“As a public school teacher and a community organizer, I have personally observed the positive impact that Children’s Media Project has had on my students and in their neighborhoods. Each student has grown emotionally, culturally and interpersonally after their experience at CMP. In addition, each student has gained an appreciation and a set of skills in the world of communication and media arts.”

CMP explores practical ways of using the language of images, words and sounds in the classroom with an eye towards accommodating various levels of technology. Media Art can be used to study and reinforce any content area and is a productive method of investigating both internal and external issues as art in general does. It is also a potent method of developing life skills including critical thinking and teamwork and appeals particularly to visual and audial learners.
